Given the following, which would you prefer (and why) for a HD setup on an M&P:

1) Streamlight TLR-2

or

2) Crimson Trace grip and a plain old flashlight.

Personally I prefer a handheld light and a CT laser. To use a gun mounted light you have to be pointing it in the general direction of where you want to see. I guess for HD that would be OK, outside probably not a good idea. I use a flashlight with a Strobe function and it is almost impossible to see if the strobe light hits your eyes. Plus, I take my light where I can not take my gun...you never know when the lights will go out. Even if you have a weapon mounted light, I would still want a good handheld light.

I have both a Surefire light and a Fenix light.
