Default M&P 45c vs Full Size M&P 45

Question for someone who has both the full size M&P 45 and the M&P 45c. Is there a big difference in the concealability of the 10 round frame and the 8 round frame? In the fall our dept. is changing from the Clock 21 to the M&P 45. We will have a choice of the 4 inch or the 4.5 inch version for duty. If there is not a big difference in concealability between the two, I would opt for the 4 inch and also use it off duty. Then again telling my wife I need a M&P 45c for off duty would be a reason for a new S&W. The only poly frame weapon I have now is my issue Glock 21. All of my other semi-autos are 2nd and 3rd generation S&W.
