Default Will M&P pistols take non S&W mags?
I'm about to move to a high cap mag ban state (for 2 years) and I can't take my high cap MP40 mags with me. Did S&W make their M&P pistols to fit any previous (pre-94) magazines? Specifically, the MP40? Thanks.

I meant are there any pre-ban magazines that are retro-actively compatible with the MP40? Like any old Glock magazines or anything?

No, since the M&P came out after the AWB there were no "pre-ban" hi-caps, and their mags are unique to them.
