Default M&P10 issues

2 things have come to my attention when disassembling a colleague's M&P10:

Drop in trigger modules are impeded by the ambi bolt release which must be removed in order to install. Recommend going with non-modular upgrade to trigger due to this.

Factory trigger pins are funky, non-mil-spec, grooves are in the wrong places.

Both the safety selector spring and the take down pin spring are held in by the pistol grip? Odd...

And I still think the flash hider is odd looking...

I just installed a Geissele SSA-E trigger in my M&P10. I have one in my Colt AR15 and love it. It took an extra 2 minutes to remove the Ambi Bolt Release to allow enough room to install the hammer. It takes a 3/32 roll pin punch to remove and replace the Ambi Bolt Release.

Default Modular Trigger

I replaced mine with Wilson Combat 2 stage TTU, great trigger and it only took me 5 minutes to remove ambi bolt release to get trigger in.

I dealt with this with the timney I put in mine. Had to take both bolt releases off and then back on. Not such a big deal but an added step for sure
