Default M&P10 Barrel Options

Is there a heavy or bull barrel option for the M&P10?

From S&W's website, they show the pencil barrel on the "standard" model:

However, the CAMO model appears to have a straight profiled heavy or bull barrel:

Does anyone have the CAMO model to confirm?

Hmm, I had not considered that. Good question. It appears it is a heavier barrel. Be nice if S&W makes that barrel available.

I got my answer on Arfcom where S&W has an official representative...

M&P10 Barrel Options - AR15.COM

Essentially, YES, there are two barrel profiles for the M&P10. The contoured pencil profile on the Tactical/LEO model and a straight profile medium barrel on the CAMO model.

S&W went on to say that you should be able to order the straight profile barrel from their parts and accessories department.

Saw a straight barrel on a Black OR mp10 today at my LGS.... It was 250 less than the pencil barrel and is not threaded or a suppressor.

yes i confirm, i have an M&P 10 with straight heavy ballel, it is very accurate but just a little bit "nervous" while shooting. i solved this issue asking to Hydra Armaments to made me a suppressor . i haven't touched nothing the suppressor is locked with 6 screws and eliminate totally the elevation and recoil is less than a 223 now. good accuracy even at 800 YDS with the correct ammunition.
