Default Bi-pod for my S&W MP10

I don't want to change the forearm to a quad rail is there a bi-pod that will fit the barrel that will swivel and fold back ?

I just picked up a four inch rail and mounted it to the stock handguard, added a Atlas bi-pod and it's sorted.

NcStar Precision Grade Bipod Fullsize w/ 3 Adapters FREE S&H ABPGF. NcSTAR Bipods.

I know its NC star but It is the exact same as the Harris I payed $25 more for, and it comes with an adapter to mount right to the stock handguards, which is what I did with mine. It also comes with a weaver/picatinny to sling stud adapter and a quad rail picatinny clamp on barrel mount.

How do you mount the rail to the stock handguard? Did the rail come with something for that?

Sorry for the delay, it's been awhile.

The install of the rail is really simple, the most difficult part is getting the handguard off in the first place(simple, just stiff as hell).

Place the butt of the rifle on the floor(or any other solid surface) and pull the D ring downwards, once you get it to clear the guards tab just pull out the lower half. Find out which holes you're comfortable with and attach the rail then re-install the lower guard.

One thing though, the spots in which you place the nuts aren't really nut friendly per se, if you have a Dremel and a grinding wheel you're able to open the sides of the spots a bit for a better fit(just be careful not to go through the handguard).

Edit: The rail came with nuts and bolts for attaching.

2nd Edit: Here's a link to the rail I purchased.

I used the swivel adapter from Impact Weapons. Mounts in the slots on MagPul handguard. Seems to work very well so far.

After much research and debate back and forth between the Harris, Atlas and a few others, I decided to get the Atlas. I'm very happy with my decision. I really like this bipod. It's made in the USA out of quality materials and has a lot of adjustments for various shooting positions. They also offer some nice attachments but they are kinda pricey IMO. One of the main reasons I got this over the Harris is no external springs.

I also went with the Midwest industries rail but I got the 1.5" rail. It needed some modifying but works just fine.
