I ordered an M&P 10 Magpul edition in January, still have not received it. Any word on their production of this weapon? Is it time to get a refund and go with another company? I see all the mods done to base model, but the Magpul edition has most of those mods stock and for the price I paid would be stupid to go base model and then mod out, spend to much money. *** S&W

The base model has been out since right after the SHOT show. I had one in a month. I installed an STR butstock, a MIAD grip and a MOE hand guard, all in FDE, on mine right away. The Magpul stuff cost less less than $175, but then a I got a super LE deal on the basic rifle with a PMAG 20. I like the STR a lot better for the M&P 10 than the MOE.

There is nothing else on the market like the M&P 10. It weighs less by far than any other AR308. Nothing else at the price point has the ambidextrous lower. I do wish it has an ambidextrous charging handle. Also it is accurate.

They must be so busy making the base models that the Magpul models just have to wait until they get caught up.

I also added the Enhanced Butt Pad to my CTR giving just a bit of cushion. Rather than wait forever, it takes just a few bucks more to change a standard to an MOE and look at all the neat stuff left over you can put in the parts drawer.

I would just get the standard model and put whatever MAGPUL parts I wanted on. I don't like their grip, but their stocks and hand guards are awesome.

You have to get their picatinny rail that mounts to the hand guard to mount the vertical grip.
