Default Installing SSA-E Trigger and Grip (Detailed)

A quick write up of Installing the Geissele SSA-E and the Ergo Grip made for both AR10 and AR15.

First set i removed the grip. If not installing a grip this is not needed for trigger install. (Unlike AR15 the Take down detente is located under the grip.)

This gets a little trick to take many pictures having to use both hands.

First you have to knock the right side bold release out of the way. I just moved the roll pin over enough to get the button out of the way.

Then knocked the pins out holding them tight Right to left.

Then just dropped the new trigger in place same order.

Everything Finished and slapped the Grip in place.

PS. As stated The safety does not need removed, just the right side bolt release. Simple stuff!

Happy to answer or help with any questions.

Feel free to post up suggestions.

"Automatic-Enhanced" excuse my ignorance, but is that a forced re-set trigger like the Rare Breed?

The OP hasn't been on since 2014. So I doubt he'll answer your question.

I'm not sure what a forced reset trigger is. My Geissele (I think i's a SSA-E but I can't remember for sure) trigger operates just like any or AR trigger I've ever used. Just much smoother, crisper, and the trigger pull is lighter than factory triggers.

I have the SSA-E. As Sgt Sand Man indicated much smoother and crisper. However release is just a little too light for me. If I had it to do over I would do the SSA.

I installed one in my Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter, it is a standard two stage trigger.. Geiselle will send you a heavier spring to bring your comfort level up, you just need to contact them.. I also have the enhanced,, I wish I had them in everything,, it is so nice, and very intuitive by feel,, I find it very predictable.. so shoot them an email or call, they will take care of you...
