Default Buffer tube/spring

Guys I've decided on the Burris P.E.P.R. scope mount. I've also decided to go with the PRS buttstock by Magpul. Problem is I bought the 811308 with the adjustable stock from Smith and Wesson.

I know I need a rifle length buffer tube and rifle length buffer spring that can withstand .308 to work with the PRS.

Does anyone have links to get me straight to what I need? Maybe a kit with both the tube and spring. Thanks everyone.

Not sure of the S&W adjustable stock but I do know for a Magpul PRS all you need is an A2 buffer tube and the spacer that S&W makes just for tha Magpul PRS. Call S&Wcustomer service and order spacer # 432270000. Cost is about 14.00 bucks if I remember shipped to your door.
With this spacer you can use your stock spring and buffer. No other parts needed.
Now the bad news...it will take at least a month to get the spacer if your lucky.
Also check out www.grabagun.com for good deals on accessories.

Aero Precision has their AR scope mount on sale. Even at their regular price, it's a better value than the PEPR. If I needed an AR mount, at this price I'd grab the Aero Precision mount and not look back!

When you change buffer tubes, you will still use the OEM spring, unless you get one of those fancy JP Enterprise captured spring/buffer assemblies.

If you order the $10ish 2" spacer from S&W, you can use the OEM carbine size buffer. You can also increase the weight of the stock to further curb felt recoil by using a heavier 2" stack of steel washers as a spacer instead.

Just a quick tip: if you can't get the castle nut to loosen without marring it with the wrench, put the lower receiver in the freezer for thirty minutes to allow the aluminum threads to contract. Working with the aluminum parts cold will result in less force needed to loosen the nut.
