Default Buffer spring help...

****! I accidently laid my DPMS buffer spring with my original M&P10 buffer spring and a few 5.56 A2 buffer springs while cleaning my rifle, and now I can't tell which is which. Can someone please give me a measurement for the stock M&P10 spring for comparison? Thank you.

Now why did you go and do something like that? LOL. The buffer spring on my MP 10 is right at 13 inches and 35 coils.

One fellow member pulled 6 new ones out of 6 new guns and they were all different lengths!

Good luck!

I pulled a couple of buffer springs out of a couple AR15's that I had sitting around, out of curiosity, and they were at least a full 2 to 2 1/2 inches shorter than the one for the MP 10. Suprisingly, the MP 10's buffer felt and looked very similar to a H buffer. I sold a DPMS .308 before purchasing my MP 10 and if I remember correctly the DPMS had a shorter buffer. The buffer spring on the MP 10 even seems slightly heavier.
