Default loose buttstock

I just picked up my MP 10 MOE. The stock seems very loose on the buffer tube. Is this normal?

Normal. Removal of the slack is one of the selling points of Magpul buttstocks.

So it is a magpul MOE stock that is loose. I ran some smooth 2" wide camo tape over the buffer tube from the bottom channel slot, and from the end of the buffer tube to the end of the buttstock in the position I shoot it. That took out all the slack and still provides for adjustability.
