Monday morning provided none of my renters gave me a rubber check. I hope to put a MP 10 on lay-away. I have few questions that I probably could have found answers to by doing a search but thought I'd do it the easy way.
#1 is mag interchangeability. Are all AR-10 (308, 7.62) mags compatible with the S&W MP-10 or is S&W or any others oddballs??
#2 Sights, Although my wife believes I have an endless supply of money. I will be a bit tight on discretionary funds after picking up the MP-10. So I'm looking for suggestions on cheapie iron, preferably flip-up sights to get me by until I can afford something along the lines of an ACOG.
#3 Reloading. Is a small base sizing die needed to handload for the MP-10?? My 1970's Colt AR-15 SP-1 will only function with brass ran through a small base sizer. The SP-1 model does not have a forward assist so the small base sizing is necessary. I have both standard and small base sizing dies for 308. My old Savage 99 lever action needs the small base sized brass. Handloading I do for a friend's Remington 760 also prefers the small base. An Israeli K98 re-barreled and converted to 7.62 worked fine with a standard or even neck sized only die. Any tips or advice on handloading for the MP-10 will be appreciated.
