Default Scope Mount Opinions.

Just got a 4.5-14 50mm Mark 4 and I'm mounting it on the Big Smith (M&P 10.) Wife told to get a "good" mount since my buddy ridiculed me due to $20 scope rings.

What do y'all think.

BTW, picked this up on the cheap from OpticsPlanet.

Good scope. I have a couple.
LaRue makes a damned fine mount. Quick-detach if you want. MOA tilt or flat. Your choice. About $211.00. That's what works for me. I use ARMS flip-ups so I have the lever-locks on mine.
Check out their website. A good rifle and good scope require a good mount.

I love my $20 scope rings, but if your wife says spend away!

Dennis. I think a flat LaRue is headed to the top of the list.

Does your mount have gaps where is secures to the tude or do they touch?

Jimbo- Haha!! I agree but was overruled. Wife wants to get the spending over with!!

The guys at Mississippi Auto Arms set me up with an American Defemse Manufacturing AD Recon 30 Tac R mount.

Awesome fit so far.
