What sling?
Hey guys, I have the AR 10 811312 camo model. What type of slings are you all using, both single or double point?
Thanks
Paul

My MP10 currently has a Blue Force Gear padded Vickers two point. Eventually I'm going to change it to a SMS sling from SKD Tactical as it can carry the rifle like the Vickers sling, but also function as a shooting sling.

Paul, the sling that you select should supplement the mission of the rifle. If you are using your AR10 as a Service Rifle (a.k.a. Mk110) in NRA XTC matches, you must use a two point sling comparable to an M1903 sling!

I just use the old single web strap GI sling. Adjusted the length long enough to loop my support arm through it for support off hand.

I use the Magpul 2 / 1 point sling. I installed a Troy add on single point sling adapter but in all honesty, 2 point is my favorite. Good luck!

Is this the same black web sling that was military issue with the M16A2 about 20 years ago? I would very much like to get one for my M&P10 but not sure where I can find one since I don't know what it's proper name would be. Any help?

I'm not a fan of single point slings. I don't like my weapon slapping me in my junk. I prefer a two-point setup. Tried the Vickers for a while because people swear by them but ultimately decided the Magpul MS1 worked better for me.

Yes it's the same old M-16 sling. You can find em at worldwarsupply co.com for about $16.00.
