Default MP10 BARREL NUT TORQUE

JUST PUT A DIAMONDHEAD FREE FLOAT ON AND WAS WONDERING....

INSTRUCTIONS SAY 35FTLB-80FTLB

DIAMONDHEAD HANDGUARD FAQ :

FREQUENTLY ASKED TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

1.) What is the torque spec range for the barrel nut?
A.) Approximately 35-80 ft lbs

JUST WONDERING IF WITH A UPPER VISE IF IT WILL SNAP OR TWEAK ANYTHING IF I TORQUE TO 80FT LBS

Could strip out the threads on the upper receiver if you go pass 80 ft-lbs.

You should start at 30 ft-lbs first until the torque wrench clicks, and then start then start aligning the gas tube holes with the upper receiver and barrel nut from this point on. I incremented at 5 ft-lbs until the hole in the barrel nut aligned with the gas tube hole in the receiver. Note that if the holes align before that torque wrench click at the next setting then that's OK and long as it clicked at the 30 ft-lbs first. I never heard of anyone getting near 80 ft-lbs?
