Default Anyone tried the JP trigger spring??

If so was it worth it? Also thinking of getting the adjustable screw to reduce the trigger take up.

What I have used is the reduced power JP springs in a 223 AR15 there are three in the kit hammer, trigger and disconnector spring for about $10. They do lighten the trigger pull quite a bit but the reduced power hammer spring will not work with hard primer steel cased Russian ammunition but is fine with good quality ammuntion. Have not heard of a trigger over travel adjustment from JP. Have done this myself by drilling and tapping a 8-32 set screw into the rear of the standard trigger, the screw is adjusted to take the creep out of the trigger. To drill it the trigger is a hardened part and have heated the rear of the trigger to red hot with a map torch, then drilled with a titanium bit tapped for set screw adjusted it in the lower and some lock tight on the set screw threads to keep it in place.

You probably want the JP Enhanced Reliability set 4-5# on a mil-spec trigger group that has had basic clean-up of the contact surfaces.

"Precision-calibrated springs produce a consistent pull on a stock JP M15 rifle trigger, while preserving ignition reliability with U.S.-manufactured ammunition. This trigger and hammer spring kit produces a 3.5 to 4 lb. trigger pull. These springs are designed to be optimal with JP Enterprises fire control groups but can also be used with properly prepared (instructions included) mil-spec trigger/hammer components to produce a 4- to 5-lb. pull with a smooth “roll off feel and good control. Install this spring kit in your AR-15 trigger group to ensure reliable primer strikes on hard military surplus ammo."
