Default This may go against the current here, but here goes...

Got an M&P 10 last week... optics ready variant, NIB. Shot it Sunday. All 168 grain ammo ran flawlessly and accurately. The Winchester 150 grain pig ammo short stroked twice in 20 rds.

All in all, I like this rifle.

Congratulations! I have ran 50 rounds of Hornady American gunner through mine and have had one short stroke. That was in the first 10 rounds. I’m happy with it so far. Good luck with your new rifle!

Just the complainers post - I’ve shot hundreds of rounds through mine without issues.

Only time my rifle short stroked was after I got it cerakoted. The guy who did the job didn't remove the bolt and got over spray on it. Ran fine after I cleaned it off.

The only other time I had a problem was when I had a brain fart and improperly installed the gas tube after installing a low profile gas block. The rifle doesn't cycle if the hole in the tube is faced AWAY from the gas port...

The magpul butt arrived today, and this rifle just fits SO well. The new butt is a tight fit , but this dang thing is set!

Default Think I’m done for now

It’s been magpulled quite a bit. My wife says it’s done.

My brand new M&P 10 short strokes, jams, dents the brass, and scrapes the next round. Had to send it back and won't see it for 2+ months. I didn't intend on posting until I saw your comment.

I have had my M&p 10 for a couple years, other than swapping the trigger for a gieselle, it has performed flawlessly.

Don't judge a semi auto until you have put 500 rounds through it!

I had to hand feed them one at a time so that may take a while

Maybe 20+ years ago you could say that but with today's modern ammo, a semi-auto should run fine right out of the box.
