Same photos from a previous post. I should get some new ones now that I've added 45 degree BIS and some quick detach mounts.
Magpul PRS Ar10 stock swap with extended buttpad
Troy 308 rail
Harris bipod
Magpul angled foregrip
Ergo tactical grip
Accushot monopod
Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 8.5-25x50mm M1 Mil Dot glass (with objective shade)
And a pelican to garage it all in.

Upgrades to this compliant model include.
Magpul PRS 308 with extended buttpad in Foliage Green
Magpul MAID grip Foliage Green
Troy BattleRail TRX-308 12″ (cerakote in magpul foliage green)
Troy low profile gas block
Atlas bipod
Leupold Mark AR (not pictured)
I'm still waiting on my spacer for the A2 rifle length extension tube.
The Cerakote color "magpul foliage green" doesn't exactly match the real Magpul foliage green plastic's color in bright sunlight.

M&P 10 custom
Here's mine!
Upgrades include...
Troy battle rail
Low pro gas block
ErgoGrip pistol grip
Magpul UBR
Magpul AFG2
Vortex Viper 2.5x10 tactical QF 44mm optic with illuminated BDC reticle
GG&G tactical aliminum collapsible bipod
Low recoil. Dead nuts round after round. Other than the rifle self ejecting the magazines when cycling I love it. Great reliable piece of steel and proud to own it as part of my collection.

Just got mine. Put some flip up sights (Magpul)on it and went out plinking. Have ordered the Nikon M-308, the Bushnell TRS red dot ( to mount at 11:00 o'clock). Haven't decided on the hand guard yet. I think I want the Troy TRX 13.8" Battle Rail.

This is my Colt Competition CRX-16. Haven't done much to it. Magpul STR buttstock, Magpul MOE grip, and Optisan Mamba 1-4x24 scope. It comes with a match grade barrel and trigger.
My other AR15 is a Daniel Defense upper with a S&W lower. Magpul stock, Magpul grip, Daniel Defense sights, ALG defense trigger, etc.
I had a varmint AR that I put together with CMMG parts. I put a Geissele SSA-E trigger in it. Boy was it nice. I ended up selling three of my ARs and just kept the 2.

My response from Magpul regarding the UBR on the M&P 10.
Thank you for your inquiry. The UBR will work with AR10-type guns with the addition of a custom short carbine buffer. The issue lies in the fact that the UBR´s included (and required) Entry-Length Carbine Receiver Extension is the proper length for AR15s using the 5.56x45 cartridge while the larger 7.62x51 requires a longer bolt carrier. Since a longer receiver extension tube cannot be used with the UBR to accommodate the longer 7.62x51 carrier a shorter buffer must therefore be used. Some platforms such as the DPMS LR-308 already use a shorter buffer (with a standard length tube) and should be good to go. Others, such as the Armalite AR10, use a longer tube (with a standard length buffer) and a replacement buffer is necessary.
As long as the buffer measures about 2.5 inches in length you should be good to go.

looks like this Midwest Industries handguard, you can see MI on the rear of the handguard rail area in the second picture.

Well, it uses a proprietary barrel nut, so you have to remove the gas system, lock the upper in a vise, remove the factory barrel nut and delta ring assembly, install the new, MI barrel nut, re-install the gas system with a low profile gas block, and then install the handguard. I'm a certified AR armorer so it was pretty routine for me. It's not rocket surgery but it requires some specialty tools, mechanical aptitude, and a working knowledge of how the AR system works. Another thing you may notice on my handguard is the addition of a couple screws through the handguard and into the barrel nut for added security.

The couple of screws through the hand guard and into the barrel nut were 100% necessary in my experience with this hand guard. Without them it walked out. For anyone considering this hand guard do yourself a favor and do this like ASH556 suggests.

cbas26,
What barrel or model MP-10 do you have? Mine is the really skinny barrel with the flash hider. I would really like to have a heavy barrel to put in my 10.
