New M&P 15-22 Area
At Lee's request I have created a separate area dedicated to the 15-22. I have moved all obvious 15-22 thread into that area. If your thread didn't have 15-22 in the title or in the first sentence it probably didn't get moved. If there are threads that need to move, or were moved in error, just click the "report post" icon and we will move it where it belongs.
The redirect links have to remain in the long gun area so that folks who arrive here from a search engine, end up in the right place. They will be pushed down as new long gun posts are added.
Congratulations to the 15-22 owners, enjoy your new area!

I think this is a good move as i was about to believe that S&W only made 15-22's as its ONLY long gun.
Im sure people who owned something else would get sick of being ignored and have to read about .22lr's all day long.

I like the 22 model as much as anyone, but I too felt the infatuation with it bordered being obnoxious by "some". Great move to split them up, seriously. That's what makes this forum so great, the owner and Mods work with the membership to make it all as agreeable as it can be.
Thanks again gentleman.

I agree, this is a very positive move. The addition of a 15-22 sub-forum will better address the hugely popular new S&W product. It will also allow other long gun posters to have their fair share of exposure.

Just a shame that the other S&W long products don't seem to have as much popularity. I think that's more of a factor of price and the owner may not tend to hang out on the brand specific forum rather than the platform specific, other forums.
I'd like to see a lot more activity in the LG forum concerning the other M&P long gun, that way I can decide if that's the next one for my collection!
I do agree this was a smart move, the 15-22 seems to be so wildly popular right now that it's posts were over running the LG forum.
Thanks to the Moderation Team!
