Default Magazine program

I purchased a new M&P 15 (my 18th S&W) and sent off for my new free magazines. It's been 90 days, how long should this take? Thanks

I sent mine out three weeks ago, and I'm still not even coming up on their site. It says to wait at least six weeks, but it seems odd that it would take that long to even get in their system.

I ended having to call and fax my forms. Not sure how that'd work now that it says the s&w store is closed?!

I got mine in 7 weeks. Way quicker than I expected! What is weird is; I checked online status yesterday , and was told they hadn't been shipped, I received them today!!!! They received the form 4/16, I got them 6/8.

So much for FIFO....the site indicates they got mine on 4/2 but I haven't seen anything yet.

I gave S&W customer service (Jeff) a call today to inquire as to the status of my 5 free magazines.

After listening to me claim that my submission was received on April 2nd, he went to the web site (same link as on the first page) to check my status.

His tone changed a bit when he too found that the site shows my status of paperwork received and not yet shipped.

I mentioned that others who had sent in their paperwork more recently than I had already had magazines in hand. He stated that wasn't right....I agreed with him.

He promised to get back to me tomorrow with an answer.

Hopefully this segment of their customer service program is as good as the part that fixes the defective 15-22s.

I called S&W customer service today since Jeff (see my last post) didn't call me yesterday as he had promised.

Jeff answered the phone. After re-introducing myself and reminding him of Wednesday's conversion, he told to to wait while he checked.

After being on hold for some time, he returned to state that he didn't have an answer as to what the status was.

He did admit to me that he forgot to follow up on getting the status. (I guess it took him a while to figure that out else I wouldn't have been on hold for as long as I was.)

Explained another way, he didn't do anything after I hung up the phone two days ago.

I am about as impressed with this segment of S&W's customer service as I am with my M&P15-22's ability to deliver a 1" group at just 50 yards.....from its "match grade" barrel.

He promised to call me back on Monday with a status. This time he states he will leave a note on his desk to so he remembers to call me. (I guess that didn't cross his mind two days ago.)

And so the quest continues.....

Got no call back on Monday so I called on Tuesday. Was promised another call back. Waited until Thursday, called again, got another promise. I finally tracked down the original customer service rep on Friday.

He promised to call me back in 10 minutes.

He did....and this time he had a shipping order # for me. Claims my magazines are heading my way. Said it would take about a week to show up.

I never got an explanation as to why mine were never shipped, having been 1 day short of 13 weeks since they received my paperwork. Hopefully they really will show up.

Got home from work today and found a package with 5 Magpuls from S&W.

Finally....after 14+ weeks since submitting my paperwork and only two two weeks after first contacting S&W's customer service to ask where the heck they were....they arrived.
