Yep, got one of them too.... MP15-ORC... she's a beauty, mounted a EOTech 512 red dot\magnifier to it and like it lots...

So what are you doing this morning Walter... besides drooling on the S&W retail site... I'm probably heading up to the S&W Retail Store where lots of the pics are taken... this morning ... Thinking I'll take my M&P45fs up along with my HP 9mm carbine.. the wife will take her M&P9c, Sig Mosquito and her MP15-22... we'll have some fun for sure... and I'll be sure to check out all those guns you seem to be drooling on.. you are not alone.. as you might guess... I'm a die hard Smitty...

Opps... just checked out that 15-Sport.. that's quite a bit different than my ORC... I like it, pretty inexpensive too!!!! 1\8 twist, A-2 frt site... daaaaaamn that's a nice piece.. too bad I can't have it, not legal in Mass... even though we make it right here.. 10 minutes from my house!!!

i just put a deposit on one mp 15 sport but the guy told me it will be january of 2013,what a bummer, well i have to do with what i own till then.At least i secure the price because i'am sure is goig to skyrocket just like everything else.

The time will fly by....heck, it has been a year since this thread was started!

I can't believe that it will be next year before you get your rifle. If you find one before that, can you get your deposit back?

I bought one couple months ago. payed 595 here . Love the rifle. Accurate beyound what a low cost AR sould ever be. Use's any up grade item for other AR's. heres mine with a freefloat tube added .-

I've had one for about 9 months. What an outstanding rifle. I don't miss the forward assist or dust cover at all.

The funny thing here is that this thread is over a year old. By the time you get your sport, it will likely have another birthday.

FYI. My local Army/Navy has one on the shelf in FL.

I see one every day.

I just placed an order for a M&P. Factory said it would be at least 7 months before shipment.

Why do people bring up these old treads, heck they have to hunt them up as is. Gota start checling dates better.

At least it's evidence the search button is used.

Sometimes it's fun to resurrect an older, yet relevant thread.

I am pretty sure just a few short months ago mine used to look exactly like that....but you know they say the memory is the second thing to go....LOL

JaPes True enought. To many do just start a new tread first with no googles and searchs in general.

Wow I was lucky to get mine last December. It was hard then, I got the last one that day and the LGS owner told me then they were a hot item to stock.

Problem is for the price they can be bought for and concedering the s&w builds a fixed number of each model is part of a run we don't see them handg'n around in store. Might take another year for buying to slow enough and production picks up enought to balance out before we see them in the store .

I picked up my Sport 2 weeks ago. $669 here. Awesome performance and am very pleased so far. Looking for options to mount a Surefire G2X light.
