Default M&P 15L

Hi guys
I'm a new member, I live in Italy and I've just ordered a smith and wessom mp15.
Due to our strange laws the only model available is the 15I that has a 16 inches barrel without flash hider and a fixed a2 stock.
The question is: in the smith catalog is not listed!

this is a picture of the sample in the store ( the flash hider is added)

Do you have any information about it?
Tks

It's listed in the Product Archive on their website. The I stands for International as I recall. S&W often has models floating around that aren't listed in their catalog, especially variations such as this one that aren't intended for the mainstream US market.

Product: ARCHIVE: Model M&P15I

That's a great looking rifle, the A2 stock is very classy looking and functional. So are you able to add the flash hider as shown after the rifle has been imported? How about changing the buttstock?

Oh and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the quick reply Dragon,
answering to your question is a complex matter:
in Italy we have all firearms ( imported or not) listed in a governament catalog and any single weapon has his own specifications ( fixed stock or collapsible, barrel lenght and son on) in theory you cannot modify the firearm in any way but there are some exeptions.
For example if the firearm is listed with the collapsible stock ( and our mp15 is ) you can also put the fixed one...but you cannot do the reverse.
If it has a flash hider, you cannot change it but if it has not...you can ad the one ylu like.
I know is funny but this is italy

this is the link to the "national catalog of firearms".

- Armi e Tiro

P.S.
I choose the collapsible stock and burd cage flash hiders.

So....I imagine every model and variation every made by Beretta is listed in the national catalog?
