I have only about 100 rounds thru gun. When cleaning I noticed 2 long scratches right above where the bolt rides inside the upper. If you pull the bolt back and look straight inside the ejection port right above the flat spot where the bolt rides this is where they are. Is this common for a AR.
Hard to say what that's from. Could have been carelessness at the factory during assembly, could have been debris that was dragged back across the inside of the receiver with the bolt. Anyway, it hasn't even broken through the anodizing and isn't affecting anything. Don't worry about it.
hello all I just got a DPMS 223 and there is a scratch in the upper receiver there is no hesitation when riding the bolt forward or anything will this be a problem in the future if its just cosmetic its not a big deal
