New MP-15 collapsible stock?
Just got a new MP 15 sport, and I cannot adjust the stock. I cannot press the lever in, it will not budge, and the stock will not budge. I loosened the knurled screw at the bottom, and even removed the lever and put it back....... Nothing
Any ideas?

Did you buy a Compliant model? If so the stock is pinned in place.

Actually, I'm not sure. I purchased it from Bud's. Is there any way to tell? It does NOT have a fixed mag.

Could depend on what state you live in, Bud's may have had to send a compliant model to you depending on your local laws.

I live in the free state of Florida. I checked the ad, and I do see that it says: Telestyle fixed
I guess it was my own error. I guess it is pinned in place, but fortunately it is pinned at the longest distance 35" OAL, which is comfortable for me.
Box label says nothing about being Commifornia compliant.

You might be able to drive the pin out. Then you would have an adjustable stock. Since you don't live in a Compliant state, you can remove the pin, or have it removed by a gunsmith, if you wish.

Gotta add those pins in some states, it makes them SOOO much less scary and deadly. You know how much more devastation you can do when your butt stock is collapsable.

If it is a pinned stock, it must be completely replaced. The stock is unique and cannot be made adjustable with modification.
You'd need to replace the stock and gas tube.

If I replace the stock, I noticed that the castle nut and lock plate are peened together or something. It looks like it was struck with a screw driver in two places to lock these two together.

While Commifornia definitely needs to learn something from Florida about freedom, the stock on the Commifornia versions are 6-position adjustable. There are a couple of other states that require fixed stocks - New York is one that comes to mind.

Yup. This fixed stock BS really limits the options. Gonna try out an A1 stock soon.
