New to the AR-15
Will a S&W upper fit on a PSA lower? I was told that the AR-15 platform was fairly universal but wanted to know before i purchased, I have never owned a ar-15 before only revolvers, shotguns, and bolt action rifles.

The PSA stuff has a pretty solid reputation forming. The difference in price tells me 2 things; check to see what parts are included in each, and also- what is the lowers made of? $250 for a complete lower is a good deal. This is still a decent price depending on what is not included; ie a couple tiny parts. But I'd expect the buttstock, buffer, trigger assy for that price. I might accept the mag catch being not included, or the mag release. Then, conversely- $100 sounds like a stripped lower, which means minimum $150 in parts to be added.
If the word 'polymer' is tied to that $100 lower, pass on it and get anything else.

FWIW...
I assembled a lower based off a $65 Delaware Machinery stripped lower receiver.
It mated to my 15-Sport upper just fine.

Cav Arms are good to go, they recently quit the firearms manufacturing side but always made a great product.
Good people as well.
