how do you remove the pistol grip it doesnt look like a screw is holding it on

I think there's a 1/8 allen bolt in there. Flash a light down into the pistol grip. You'll need a longer reach allen wrench to get in there. Lefty loosey, rightey tighty.
When removing the pistol grip, make sure to not lose the safety spring & detent. These are held in place by the grip.

I was going to say "hacksaw". But the allen wrench thing works too.

Exactly what he said! But really watch you don't loose those springs on the right side of the pistol grip!
