Default Hand Guard Help!

Does anyone know who makes a hand guard for a DI rifle with the following features :

* Small round diameter (smaller than the stock guard)
* Carbine length (with A2 front sight)
* Drop in for the standard delta ring.
* Ports to hang a few 5 slot rails. (9, 6 & 3 o'clock position)
* AFFORDABLE! I don't want to pay hundreds for a hand guard.

Thanks in advance!

Magpul has one a tad smaller than stock. Has holes for their magpul rails at 2, 10, and 6 position. Carbine length is what you want. Offer in various colors, just bought one less than 30 bucks.

I liked one I think was called a sidewinder, or something snake related. Really slim and nice.
I found out the darn thing was over $125 for a carbine. Ta hell with that!!!
(I am cheap; I will admit it!)

Yeah rojo, you and me both! Just like optics, I don't want to spend more or close to what I paid for my rifle.

The hand guard I agree but optics should be chosen for your intended use and is an area where quality trumps price.

Your rifle is a high quality piece, regardless of it's relatively low price. High quality optics are more problematic (especially scopes).

I do agree with buying good optics for the rifle for hunting, and serious accuracy requirements. Like all things, there is a price above which you are spending too much for the product.

But for a really good scope???? You gotta be willing to fork over some dough, plain and simple. A reasonable amount to pay for good glass is $200-600. Above that, it better deliver the elk steaks gift wrapped to the front door.

Agree.

It all depends on your intended use. Light transmission, weatherproofing, holding zero........all these things cost a bit more than what can be made in an ultra cheap optic.

For GOOD glass at a reasonable cost, look at Nikon and Weaver scopes. Also good for the cost are Nikko Sterling. But I give the nod to the first 2 with price and quality.

Yep, big fan of Nikon for reasonably priced, quality optics.
