Default New Sport Owner!

Finally picked one up today.. it's my first AR, can't wait to go shoot it lol..

And my entire S&W family..

I think I'm going to switch to all MOE on the Sport.. maybe FDE color.. just for something different. I do want a sling, and probably some kind of red dot.. Any suggestions? I have the Primary Arms M3 on the 15-22 and love it.. also considering a Voodoo Tactical Double Rifle Case for both of them..

If you go Magpul furniture, Impact Weapons Components has great sling hardware the attaches to the slots. I have their QD Mount in Slot hardware and love it. Should last several lifetimes of use.

You know...

I always love the pictures of the 15-Sport's when people get them home, right out of the box. They usually don't stay accessorized very long.

Looks good. I think I am the only one who has one that is still completely stock. :^) I also think I am the only one in America that doesn't have a DVR too!

My sport is still stock as well. Been spending funds on mags & ammo. DVR is that a new optic choice?

I would like to see a range report on the Sport as far as accuracy out to say 300 yds.

I can show you targets out to 200 and I have shot PDogs a little further out than that. Lets just say with the right ammo my Sport IMHO is way more accurate than I am!!

I was thinking you would probably be best to answer this, as 300 yds is hard to come by for a lot of us.

Range report: I am sorry I thought I had some pics of 200 yard targets and I know I do but I just cannot find them at the moment. But here are two 100 yard targets. Using a Ultradot Pan-S-V holographic sight cowitnessed to my irons. The first one is sighting in and the second one is offhand with an 11 mph breeze blowing left to right:

The next one is off the hood of my truck using a plastic caldwell NXT shooting rest front half, turned around backwards (had been drinking way too much coffee) anyhow the wind was steady 18 mph with gusts to 23 blowing left to right, also at 100 yards with a 4-16x40 scope:

when I find the others I will post them.

P.S. I am just learning to use my windage knob on my scope!!
