So who manufactures the trigger set in the sport ?
I read somewhere it was standard, and what would that imply ?

There are two things I can't readily find, is the trigger set and the LMT bcg specs.

I ran across this website listing the LMT bolt carrier group for sale:
Rainier Arms, LLC™ | Browse | Bolt Carrier Assemblies | Bolt Carrier Assembly: LMT
Surprisingly, the LMT website doesn't give much detail on their standard 5.56 Bolt Carrier group.
As far as trigger spec, I take standard to be a mil-spec standard, single stage, combat trigger. I read the ALG Defense ACT Trigger flyer. From that, I gleaned what they state to be standard trigger specs before they apply their voo-doo magic.
Trigger & Hammer = 8620 Steel Mil-Spec castings, carburized, quenched, and tempered for surface hardness.
Disconnector = 1070 Carbon Steel
Trigger & Hammer pin = mild steel

That bolt looks the part, as stated on the m&p specs as being chromed.
I wonder what would happen if I called either company.
Awaiting a response from LMT.

Grover, I saw on another forum that someone said the sport BCG was melonite as opposed to chrome, 'since it was black'
All I know is S&W says mine on my M&P 15A is chrome, and its black as well. Maybe someone thought the chrome should be like on their pickup bumper...

Mine is 2 1/2 months old and has a melonite treated bolt. My trigger broke at sloppy 7lb when when new and has settled in at sloppy 6lb 4oz. Sure wish there was a afordable 2lb trigger that fired 5.56 ammo every time. Most CS guys don't know there firearms worth a darn.

After I shot 500 rounds and my first mag dumps (glad it was russian ammo that stuff can get expensive quickly especially now that I have 8 mags. I took out the BCG and charging handle and cleaned it, I think that it is chrome with an anodized finish. you could see a little wear in the BCG, like you would see in the cylinder of a pretty new engine, more like the smoothing of machine marks. The carbon came away very easily but the bore of the rifle looked unbelievably clean, I ran a patch down it and it had a little stuff on it but not like I expected. cleaned the locking lugs and lubed it and put it back together. It isnt even hardly broken in. I have had mine for just a little over a month and a half I think. I will have to look back but I got it the very beginning of Feb.
