looking forward to my next accessory purchase but im kinda stuck.... on my old .22 i have a bipod and its pretty nice to shoot with... but also kicked around the idea of a vertical grip for obvious tactical reasons..... but would a grippod make a good bipod for bench shooting or is it just an "okay" alternative? i really like my new Leapers UTG red dot btw.... cheap and stylish... in the back ground of the 3rd picture you can see why im budgeted.....wouldnt trade my baby boy for anything








ANYWAYS... if anyone could post pics of a all three options... might make my decision a little easier... probably not but what the hell lol

How well does it hold zero? It looks good.

with good ammo... its not too bad granted my steadiness out side of the bench rest could use some work..... wolf and tula....close enough lol

compared to scopes ive had and shot with on other firearms... its pretty good value IMPO for a $30-$50 scope.... its more natural to me than my father in laws eotech(my new ar addiction is all his fault lol) plus i think it looks better IMO... plus its best on the budget lol

I have tried a grippod and it wasnt as steady as I prefer, I have a Nice Caldwell bipod, that wihunter sent me a mount for, to use on my Sport. The bipod is presently on my hunting rifle but is going to be transferable. For PDog hunting,022202_1502[00].jpg I am using the front half of a Caldwell NXT shooting rest off the hood of my truck. The Pic was taken last month so my rifle has had some mods done to it since!! LOL you know you cant not change it!!!

Just got a Leapers UTG Tactical bipod last week and love it. For a fraction of price of a Harris, it's easy to mount, easy to dismount, steady as a rock, and I can readily interchange it between my MP-15 and .308 bolt action........Got a chance to try it at the range, very pleased.

I got the 88, Oneye. Measured the distance from the table to the mount center height and I needed 8-9" to clear a 30 round Magpul mag. The 88 gives you a range of 8.3 - 12.7" which was perfect for me. The 78 gives a center height of only 6.1 -7.9".

Used it off the bench at my range last week, was excellent, only had to extend the legs about an inch. Methinks this product was a great find for the price.

BTW - Got my Primary Arms 6X magnifier last week, sweet! Now just waiting for the PA flip up mount to become available and my optics should be all set..........for awhile anyway.

How did you mount your bipod to the bottom of the handguard without rails? I'm very interested in this as I have a bipod availible to me and might go Down that route and maybe put a vertical behind it

A simple $8.00 Harris swivel adapter did the job and enabled my rifle with the stock hand guard to accept the swivel mount adapter that came with my Leapers UTG bipod - the bipod adapter attaches to swivel mount and provides about 1" of picatinny rail, just enough to mount the base of the bipod

It was really simple to install and fit like a glove over the heat shield on the bottom half of the HG.

The best part of this setup I like is the cost - let's say I want to upgrade my hand guard (which someday I prolly will) with one that has a bottom rail system........I'm only out $8.00. And the whole setup is as steady and solid as a rock.
