Default Sport with Magpul Folding MBUS & EOTech

I'm still shopping for optics. Currently checking out the EOTechs.

Anyone have a setup including the subject factory sight with: EOTech 5xx or XPS2 or EXPS3? Can you still see through the iron sights? Got pictures?

edit: The more I look, the more i like the EXPS3-0.

I have an eotech 512 on my m&p15 sport. I have removed the factory front and rear sight and installed magpul mbus front and rears. with the mbus flipped up, you can clearly see through the eotech window and the sights co-whitness with the reticule. will post a few pics when I get home.

This is my MP15 looking through the rear sight to the red dot reticle in my Eotech 512. With a standard mount on the flat top rail it has a full co-witness.

Since this pic was taken, I have removed the rear sight and in its place on the rail, I put a 6X magnifier with a flip up mount for some extra range.

My EOTech XPS2 will co-witness with my Magpul flip up rear sight and Midwest flip up front sight. The 1moa red dot sits on top of the front post when viewed through the rear sight...just like in the previous photo. I went with the XPS2 sight because of its size and the way the battery sits across the barrel instead of parallel. Works great for me.

Personally I think EoTech's are too big and bulky for an AR platform. But thats just my 2 cents.

My EOTech only weighs 8 ounces, is a lot smaller and lighter than my Nikon scope, can be removed/installed in less than a minute, and has been proven in combat. It is the most accurate aiming device I have ever used in 50 years of shooting. To each their own.......

Aimpoint SC9000 on burris riser, the stock front works fine with the flip up Magpul through the Aimpoint red dot. Aimpoint goes 50,000 hrs or about 5 years on one battery.

Looks good....you made a good choice!

I also have a Nikon 3x9 scope mounted in a Burris P.E.P.R. mount, Scopes - rifle scopes, handgun scopes, hunting scopes by Burris Optics.

I took off my EOTech yesterday and mounted the scope to check its Zero. It was still dead on at 100 yards, so then I took off the scope and remounted the EOTech and it too was still zeroed at 100 yards. I marked the rail for each to ensure that they go back on in the same place every time.

So I just ordered my M&P15 sport... I will get it soon, with it having stock rail, will the eotech 512 mount perfectly and work on the completely stock rifle and co-witness. Is that what you are showing. If so, then I am going to definatly order the 512 for Christmas and my investigating can come to an end. :-) Thanks
