Pmag 5 or 10 rounder
I can't find one but does anyone know if they are available? Sure would be nice for bench work. I know in ca you need 10 rounders but are they pmags??
If they are where are they. I've been lookin.

I just did a search and I havent found them...I find I can use USGI 20's off of the bench but not thirties, twenties will just fit in my lead sled...I did just find Magpul 10 rounders but they are based off of the 20 round bodies

Have to make your own.
I remember seeing a how to somewhere on these forums, let me look.
Here it is.
“D I Y” Short 5- and Medium 10-Round Magazines!!!
Btw my compliant model came from s&w with a (real not plugged) 10 round metal magazine.
Its marked ASC LLC New Britain CT
They might sell them in the S&W online store.

I found the supplier that S&W uses.
http://www.ammosc.com/storename/ammu...pt-273366.aspx
They even make 5 round mags.
I must have the aluminum one. The stainless steel ones they sell are marked blocked to allow only x rounds.

If you want pmags reliability, buy a pmag 20
And get the pmag 5 shot floor plate insert.
I paid 20 for the combo and had a 5 round mag.
The 20 is short enough for most bench set ups.
And you can also hunt with it in most states.

What are you all doing in situations such as the lead sled? While the 20 round mag clears the center brace, the pistol grip doesn't. At least on mine it doesn't. So I stick a block of wood under the butt stock and crank the front rest up.

In ur case 10 seconds and the correct tool and your grip disappears.
atleast that's what I would try.

The reason for the lower capacity mag was to make the magazine shorter.

I kept my buttstock collapsed with a short mag and it just fits in the sled. then I started using my Caldwell NXT (cheap but it fits) I would love to have some of those 10's just for hunting. I vary rarely need more than 10 shots and I dont mind changing mags.

Just keep it with he handle. Pill bottle a good idea.
The 20 is fairly short, the 10 rnd I saw wasn't too much shorter.
Just depends on how much room you need over the bench.
My bench rest is about 10 in. tall,

All the mags I use are short 10-rd steel ones. I bought nine of the Stoner 10 rounders on sale for $11.49 each at MidwayUSA.
