For those that haven't seen it, this is great stuff at a sweet price. I've sent about 200 rnds down the pipe, no issues, as accurate as fed. AE.
To add, theres fmj, php and vmax. bullets in different weights to choose from.

This is factory reloaded or factory new, with no middle man.
I've spoken to them via email, as stated all 223, 5.56 and blaster 223 run on the same line just on different runs. same bullets, same powder and same techs, he told me there's no performance differences between them due to this process.

I'm still working my way through my first 1000 of 223. Not a single FTF. Good stuff.

I placed an order for 500 rounds of their 40 S&W blaster ammo. It shipped yesterday and will get here on Tue. Now if they only had the 45 ACP blaster ammo in stock.

I just checked sportsmansguide for my Lake City stripper clipped 223 order. What was originally a late April back order is now showing an August ship date!

Looks like Freedom will be getting another order from me in the near future.

Best hope that the steadily increasing price hasn't risen to $500/1000 by then. It's already gone up $40 since I made my order in early March.

What's the difference in the ammo they have there? HPBT, PSP, V-Max... I get that FMJ is Full Metal Jacket but what about the rest? I want to make sure I don't get into another "buy 2 ammo boxes full and can't use at my range" situation. Thanks and sorry for the newb question.

Hollow point boat tail
Partition soft point
Vmax ballistic tip

These all expand faster than the fmj.
Each has it's own property of expansion, the vmax being what it is fragments quickly upon impact.
Psp will usually open up into a ball leaving a larger cavity upon impact.
Jhp is also know to fragment.

Thanks SSgt., just ordered 250 of the new 5.56 62 gr. 855, and 100 rounds of new 9mm 115 gr. Their prices are very good. Ammunition is getting a little hard to find lately.

Thanks for clearing that up! Vmax would probably make my range very happy.

Default Blaster Training Ammo

Per the freedommunitions.com web site: "Our Blaster remanufactured ammo product line is our training grade product with performance equal to our premium line, however some may contain cosmetic blemishes which did not meet our premium products visual standards."

I bought 500 rounds of 40 S&W Baster Training Ammo, and after a quick visual inspection, can say that these round look as good as any factory round I've ever bought. If they shoot as well as the .223 reloads I've bought from them I'll an extremely happy camper.

Those look like good prices but I am retired with plenty of time so I went back to reloading my own ammo. I am stocked up on primers, powder and brass, with the rising ammo prices I think reloading is a better option. I just received 1000 223 once fired brass for 50.00 including shipping. Thats 0.05 cents each. This brass is mainly LC.
Find some one who shoots and does not reload or do a search online for once fired brass in the caliber you want.

Default ammo prices

Most likely the doomsday preppers stocking up and buying all they can get.
I know all Ar 15 sales are way up and there are very few left locally. A friend is looking for a Colt ar 15 and can't find anything but used ones on the internet. He already has a S&W Sport like mine but he wants to drink some Colt koolaid, LOL

When freedom's reloads were $259/K it was a great deal. But now that it's over 30¢/round I'll need to pick up reloading.

I've been reloading for my handgun calibers for decades, but will need dies and a better powder measure to handle rifle charges. Still, even with the initial investment in tools, the cost for 4000 55g rounds comes out to ~25¢ a shot. Removing the tool cost it's right at 20¢. That's enough of a saving to make it worth my while...at least until after the election when the panic-stricken realize the world isn't coming to an end and start selling off their stockpiles for pennies on the dollar. haha

There home page references ammo shortage, as in they are not seeing it. They are having a high demand, probably not being able to keep up, so why not raise prices. Makes sense. Hopefully after the demand goes down, maybe their prices will too.

Still a good place to start for buying ammo at a good price and gets you reloadable brass

I ordered from Freedom 10 days ago and have not seen a delivery. In a couple more days I'll have to call and see what the problem is.

I purchased 1000 rounds of new 45 ACP and reman 9MM from them a couple months ago. Pretty decent ammo and good re-loadable brass.

The hoarders are getting on my last nerve. I shoot a LOT of .22LR and may favorite brands are becoming unavailable. One on line shop told me they had 1,000 cases of Federal .22 sell in two days and one person bought 100. 50,000 rounds of 22. Yikes.
My LGS sold 400 GI cans of Lake City .223 in one week! @ $159 a can that was $63,300 in one type of ammo in one week.

Send them an email. They'll usually reply at the end of the day but when you get them online they're quick to reply.

I was trading emails with Rudy over a 20 minute period after I placed my first order. It was almost as fast as being on IM with him. haha

I ordered another 250 rounds of 5.56 and 100 9mm from Freedom today. They are out of new so I ordered reload and it was actually more by $2. than the last time I bought new rounds. Still worth the price for the 62 grain. Shipping is backed up a little but I think they are a good company overall. At least you can get 5.56 as most places are out or overpriced.

Their reloads are nothing to sneeze at. This is a 15-shot string at 100 yards off a sand bag rest with their .223 reload ammo.

It's a 1.25" grouping in the 10-ring. The flyer in the 9-ring opens it up to 1.5". Granted, this is the best grouping I've shot so far, but 2-3 MOA is pretty routine with their reload ammo.

That's nice to know, I've been thinking about ordering another 500 reloads but wanted to shoot some or hear from others how good they are. Have you tried their Blazer yet? I will order more new ammo when they get caught up as the prices are very good. Nice groups!

I picked up 500 rounds of their 40 S&W Blaster ammo, but haven't gotten to the pistol range yet. I posted a picture of the rounds a few posts up...they look like factory new ammo, all clean and shiny.

It's only a $6 difference in price between the reload and Blaster .223 so I'll just keep buying the reloads.

I wish I could tell you that it was with the Matech, but that's just wishful thinking. haha. I was using the Simmons 44 Mag 6-21x scope.

I'd forgotten I put a riser on the Sport and was baffled that my first 10 rounds weren't on paper. When I finally remembered I took the upper off and did a quick and dirty bore sight and got back on track. I really have to work on not engaging the 1st stage of the Geiselle trigger until I have the target perfectly steady.

it appears that some people are starting to see the advantages of running a higher powered scope on the sport...it doesnt take anything away from its abilities but adds a lot to its accuracy IMHO. It basically is so accurate that for the money it is surprising. I know I had the link to the Freedom Ammo but would someone repost it. I am looking for some bullets that I dont really reload. I have occasionally but dont have enough brass to set up for it.

I have used both their 9mm and 5.56 and have not had any issues whatsoever. And they consistently have one of the best prices around. And have always had good turn around time.

For whoever wanted their addy

How accurate are their shipping charges? Looks like $25.27 for a 1000 rounds of 9mm or $16.00 for 500 rounds of 5.56 for me.

I took some Freedom 255gr 45lc FPFMJ new not reloads out last night with my Rossi, using iron sights I hit 5 for 5 on a 6" gong at 100 yards. I didnt try any more, but I thought I should come buy a lottery ticket on my way home. That tells me that at least that ammo is loaded very well. Glad I have a couple of hundred rounds of it. It was the first time I shot any of it. I have shot the 250gr FPLRN and it shoots well also but dang. I also have a witness who was completely blown away.

I still need to try out the Blaster 40 S&W I got from them. I'll be ordering some Blaster 45 ACP from them soon.
