Stupid question.....

Can you attatch a carry handle to the picitinny rail to replace the rear flip sight on an sport?

No problem. Most people usually go with some sort of optic with a BUIS, but retro always works. I'm a big fan of becoming a good shot with irons prior to switching to glass, but that's probably a carry over from competition.

Leapers UTG makes a good one... the previous owner of my OR gave it and a removeable front sight to me when i bought it from him and when i wanna go "native" with peep sights its not bad.. not bad price wise when i looked it up too

sure can I used to have one one both my 15 and 15-22 heres the old pics of them with scopes

I put a carry handle on my Sport and added a scope to it because I wanted the choice of being able to use either iron sights or the scope.
I had read some shooters about a problem with getting a good cheek weld with the scope mounted on top of the carry handle. I have found no problem with this setup for myself. I am shooting 1 inch and under groups with the scope and 2 inch groups with the iron sights @ 100 yds.

I found and excellent one on Amazon.com for less than $30

The first picture is exactly my vision. I want to keep it as plane Jane as possible. Basically a budget m16 look. I have no interest in lights, lasers, and scopes.

You say this now, but the itch to customize a little gets all of us.
