Default muzzle brakes ?

I am not a big fan of them because of the increased noise to the shooter and also the people shooting next to them. With that being said, which muzzle brake would cause the least noise back to the shooter and people om his sides ?

The Claymore does everything you stated--for the shooter and people to your sides, the sound signature is greatly reduced. Downrange, it's probably loud as all get out but I don't plan on being downrange from anyone using this brake!

I run muzzle breaks, they do reduce the percieved recoil, most of them also affect accuracy in one way or another. When you change you muzzlebreak you must resight your rifle. Depending on where the ports are is where the sound goes. The break I am presently running is loud to the front but not as bad to the side, actually quieter than the A2 flash hider. If you have the opportunity try it without it. That honestly is the quietest it gets, get a thread protector for the end of the barrel and run without it. I have done that also, but I like the added length the brake gives my barrel.

Plouffedaddy...Great Vid...extra Nice Rifle....How would someone pronounce your nickname? LOL

Thanks. Plouffe is pronounced Pluff (like Paul Pluff of Smith and Wesson) hence why all my buddies call me plouffe daddy---sounds like puff daddy

I recently put a Smith Enterprise DC muzzle brake on my sport and I really like it alot. Perceived recoil is reduced & I can see bullet impact on 20x @ 300yds. I looked at the brake in the video, but I didn't like the jagged edge. I can't tell if mine is any louder or not which I guess is a good thing, but I got the brake to reduce muzzle jump which it does well.

I've noticed no increase in noise with mine, recoil is reduced as well.
Oneye and I have used products from Jason at MaddMacs' Precision Tactical - Home
Great guy to deal with, reaonably priced and will work up a design you're happy with.
