Thumbs up Awesome BDC reticule

I have had this scope on my Sport for a couple of weeks and am finally figuring out how to use the reticule. For shooting I do it is nice but I am trying to come up with the right targets to really test it out to the limit of the reticule.

I am showing it in Red, the Bushnell Banner Dawn to Dusk scope has Red, Green and Black. I use the black exclusively.
Ok the center line is 100. the two mil dots above are 75 and 50. The mildots below are also marked off in 50 yard increments, the next line is 300 and then 350 and then on down to 600.
Since I have learned to use this style of reticule, I just love it. It has helped my longer and shorter distance PDog hunting plus target shooting at known distances. I am ready to see how it will work at 500 and 600 but I need to build a big target out of plywood for shooting these distances. Because the wheat field next to our range is ready to harvest I cant park my pickup sideways to shoot off of the hood so I have to shoot off of the roof or take the table but I will test it out to the furthest limits of the reticule and report back.

Oneye, I was just talking to a shooting buddy about this reticle for shooting past 300yds. I sight my .223 dead on @250yds which makes me about 2.5" high @ 100 and 4" low @ 300 (give or take). I can hit a 6" target fairly easy by just aiming at the bottom or top of it depending on the range. Once you get past 300 the .223 drops like a rock!(10" @350 19" @ 400 & 46" @ 500) I could sight in @ 400 or 500yds but would only be good at one of those distances and nowhere else. This scope/reticle looks promising. I have to tell you that I just returned a Bushnell that I had on my sport for about a month, so I am somewhat leery about getting another one. I am interested to hear how well the scope performs at distances past 300yds so get busy and build that target!

Storyteller if I may ask why did you have to return the scope. Just so I have something to look out for

The reticle canted in the tube after about 300rnds. Scope was perfectly level to upper receiver but reticle was canted about 45 degrees. I don't think you can miss that! It performed well up until that point and I have used their scopes before without any problems so it may be just a fluke.

I really hope so, I have had great luck with their scopes, thats why I wasnt hesitant when it came to this one on my sport but I am keeping a close eye on it.

Shoot and test whatever feels comfortable to you.
