m&p ar 15 trigger wont reset after 2 shots. never had this issue before and have shot many many rounds. i dont see any debris in the action. stumped

Gave all the components a good bath? Could be a variety of things. Clean all components from stem to stern, even the gas system because it sounds like the BCG isn't going rearward far enough to reset the FCG after it warms up a bit.

Check your disconnecter and check to make sure the spring is still there. It's a very small spring, btw. Also make sure your other springs are OK too. Have you by chance disassembled your trigger group lately?

Don't forget to do a function check!

* THE FOLLOWING CHECKS ARE PERFORMED ON UNLOADED RIFLES *
Pull the charging handle to the rear and release. Place the selector on SAFE. Pull the trigger, and the hammer should not fall.
Place the selector on SEMI. Pull the trigger and hold to the rear. The hammer should fall. Continue to hold the trigger to the rear, pull the charging handle to the rear, and release it, Release the trigger with a slow, smooth motion until the trigger is fully forward. The hammer should not fall. Pull the trigger. The hammer should fall.
