Default Sport/Colt shoot out

Thought I'd mention that over on The High Road a gentleman is running a comparison of the two rifles.

Spoiler - the Sport was out shooting the Colt every time and sometimes drastically so depending on what type/grain was used. Obviously the Sports 5R rifling is showing its superiority. Some folks were already disputing his findings!

Waiting for the Colt fanboys to get their panties in a bunch.

The OP at the High Road forum stated the Sport had a different throat than the mil-spec Colt. Does anyone have any info on the Sport throat?

Both barrels are marked 5.56, but the Sport throat read .14 on a merchant throat gauge and the Colt 6920 read .15. By comparison a Colt Hbar I have read .14 and a Bushmaster XM 15 read .11.

Have you ever noted the throats or free bore to be longer on newer bolt action rifles chambered in .223 with twist rates in the 1 in 9 range.
