Default M&P Sport Day 5 of ownership

Hopefully I am done.
for a while.
Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn 1.5-4X on P-22 mounts
Magpul forearm with heat shield

Nikon m223 scope probably after I shoot this thing

How do I remove front site to cut down? Could i just dremmel it while it is still on the gun?

Of course keeping it cool in the process

Maybe you should try this, that is if you feel you can install this yourself and if you want to spend the money.

I like h scope. I'm real fond of lower power variables on AR's.

You can Dremel of the sight tower and paint it while it's still on the gun, but my vote is to leave it alone. All my AR's have front sight towers in case I ever want to run iron sights.

Re: cut off front sight or add a riser. Not sure if this applies down at 1.4 power; but as has often been said here, you don't have to get rid of your front sight as it will not be seen in the focal plane of the scope. I have a 4 power and do not see the sight. Again not sure what happens at 1.5 power. I agree, you should leave sights on if possible as you never know when the optic will break. Just my $.02

Good article on removing front post sight (about 1/4 of the way down the page), and other AR mods. Pretty easy to do as well. There are also some other posts on this site about removing them as well.
Best of luck.

Actually the only problem with the front sight is it makes it difficult to put monster scopes on like I have...LOL

I could see the front post with my burris ar-332 (3x). I decided to replace the gas block, free-float the barrel and add a muzzle brake at the same time.

I change optics like underwear.
