there honestly are quite a few out there, we have a thread on them but I searched and couldnt find it. Maybe someone with a longer memory can remember what it is called but it ran the gamut from painting to fiber optics. I installed a fiber optic sight in a friends rifle, I think it was truglo, I also dont remember but it was nice.

I have the same problem. I tried a couple of brands but settled on TruGlo. I put red in front, green in the rear. This combo helped mo soooo much. I had tried special prescription glasses the the upper trifocal part set to match the front sight distance. That really didn't help. The problem with fiber optic sights is that they aren't available for all models. Fortunatley my 340PD (my carry gun) came from S&W with them factory installed. HI-Viz is another good sight as they have hintercangeable colors and dot sizes on the front sight. I just liked the TruGlo rear sights where they are available. Good luck, I think you will love whichever one you choose.

I put a XS 24/7 front sight post on my sport. It feels a lot larger than the original FSP but isn't a whole lot bigger.

The thing I like about it is that it makes it real easy for me to pick up the front sight and keeps my attention on it, and makes two eyes open shooting a lot easier. The tritium insert is more of a gimmick to me but I like that it is there, the large white strip is what works well on this sight! It is at a slant so it picks up light better than a painted post (nice contrasting effect).

The downsides are that it is slightly larger than the original post and elevation adjustments can only be made in full rotation increments (5 moa at 100m, IIRC).

For me the pros outweigh the cons, but their are a ton of options out their, I believe I paid $52 for the XS sight, fiber optic sights should be a lot cheaper but i feel the XS is more effective for front sight focus YMMV!

Sorry oneyeopn I should have clicked the link first, that is the same sight I have lol!
