Default Todays shooting

I shot these today at 100 yds with my Sport. All were with H335 and 5 shot groups except for one 10 shot group with Hornady 55 gr soft points. I still have to figure out the 55 gr FMJBT's and the 53 gr Vmax. what are you guys using for them in your Sport ?

FMJBT's are not known to be accurate. 2 MOA ( or 1 minute of felon) is considered normal. Be happy with what you have.

Interesting. That's what I use and get real good groups with them. Depends on what powder you might be using.

What is the bottom number next to most of your groups? It looks like group size, On your second picture, the top left group marked hmxtreme hp, 24.0 H335, all 5 .223 rounds go into on elongated hole. When 5 .223 eounds are in the same hole, the extreme spread cannot exceed 1 inch. You have that grouped marked 2.200. The other groups seem proportionally mis measured unless your unit of measurement is centimeters. Please clarify your data.

Nice shooting Rebs....I do believe the last number is the overall length, there are not the first good groups he has posted. Fantastic shooting and good loads.

All I shoot are Hornady 55 gr FMJBT and I'm disappointed with myself if I get anywhere near 2 MOA 5-shot groups at 100 yards. My typical group is in the 1.25 - 1.5" range shooting at a rate of about a shot every 3 seconds. But if I slow myself down I can get them down to 1 MOA or better. I've posted target pics in the reloading thread before so I won't duplicate them here.

I've only used two powders: Ram X-Terminator; and Mil Surp WC844. My best X-Terminator load was 24g with the bullet seated mid-cannelure (I wasn't concerned about OAL back then). For 844 I'm loading 26.5 / 27g depending on the powder lot. With the 844 I did experiment with OAL but didn't shoot well enough at that range session to make any determination.

I've been out of work for the past three months so I haven't gotten to the range lately. But next time I do I'll try to slow myself down and see if I can get any better results.
