Cabelas has hornadys 223 available this morning. Not cheap but it there.

It's amazing that these "big box stores" are jumping on the bandwagon and jacking up prices.

But on the other hand, it might be the manufacturers causing the stores to squeeze every penny out of your pockets.

I've been buying ammo from Cabela's for a long time. I've never seen them jack the price or do any kind of squeeze play. If they have it they sell it straight up. The hornady ammo was always pricier, I'm pretty sure it is their source and nothing more. Can't say the same for other places though so your suspicions are certainly warranted danno1. (cough cough CTD, ATG, ...)

exactly, wonder if this person even knew which Hornady Ammo it was.... TAP for instance has always carried a higher price based on its specs
