pmags not locking in???
Anyone had this issue yet? My pmags lock in fine when empty, but load the 30 rounders with 20 shells, and i really gotta slam the mag home to make it lock in place...no visible burrs, mag release operating fine as far as i can tell...

I've not noticed an issue with either 20 or 30 round PMAGs. Mine are from a few years ago....the old style that came with the covers, if that helps any.

Have you tried screwing your mag release in just a little farther?
I had the opposite problem with a CMMG lower. Once the P-mag was slammed home into the mag well, it wouldn't come out! It was an out of spec lower and CMMG replaced it for me.

Ive heard stories of people having to shave some bump or something off the back of the Pmags. I believe this was an issue with some older DPMS lowers though. Never heard of a bad story with an m&p lower.

I had the same problem with a Pmag (window version) loaded with 30 rounds of 300 BLK. After a few days with the magazine in the gun, they now work just fine.

Bolt open or bolt closed ? If bolt closed then one round to many in mag. It will most likely loosen up after ? Some time in use. New mag stiff spring. Try with one less round before you start looking for places to file. Or..as above.

If the bolt is closed you are just compressing the first round against the bolt and takes a little force. If the bolt is open you should not have an issue.
