Favorite upgrade/addition to your M&P15
what is your favorite upgrade or addition for your M&P15? Could be the thing that increased accuracy or speed the most, cosmetic upgrade, improved ergonomics/comfort or something like a simple trigger guard replacement you like.

Ammo, lots of ammo and magazines. No scope, no lasers, no flashlight, no need for that. Iron sights, cause If you can't shoot with them, what are you going to do when your fancy scope or red dot breaks?

I replaced both buttstocks on my ARs with beefed up Magpul stocks. These have added the most comfort and overall added benefit of any one item. Second to those is adding a sight (scope and red dot).

Eotech 512 - co-witnesses with my irons perfectly. Also replaced the Magpul front grip with an ATI folding grip. Easily removable as well since adding the small picatinny rail. Also added another picatinny on the RH front side of the Magpul forend for a laser if I want to run it. Lastly, a Spector CBQ 3-point sling which I like quite a bit.

The two accessories I have added to my S&W Sport that have noticeably improved performance are an AimPoint Pro Optic and MagPul CTR Stock. For looks I have also replaced the factory pistol grip and hand guard with matching MagPul MOE replacements. Recently I added a MagPul MS3 QD Sling and MSA MOE Sling Attachment, but am not entirely happy with the “feel” of this set up. I am now Mall Ninja compliant…

On my Sport, the best improvement was to free float the barrel, second was to polish the trigger and third was to install an "H" or "H2" buffer. I have made other cosmetic changes, some made the rifle more comfortable but these three things have done the most to make the rifle more accurate and follow up shots better.
I do not use my Sport in the basic "tactical" design. I use mine as a target/hunting rifle and thus have changed it that way.

I put a Magpul pistol grip on mine and an A2 stock. It sometimes wears a 4x scope. Pretty simple.

I guess I never really answered
I think my favorite upgrade is my grip - magpul MOE+ grip. It's nothing fancy, but I really like that it doesn't have any finger grooves - those things NEVER fit my particular set of fingers. The magpul grip gives me good purchase that's comfortable and doesn't fail when dirty or wet.

My favorite is a Timney 4# trigger. Only other mods are a Magpul pistol grip and an ACS-L stock (I like the extra friction lock to remove any slop in the stock to tube fit).

I'm not quite done building my AR yet, but so far I think my favorite accessory is a heavily padded sling....

I think I see a barrel sticking out of there but I'm still not entirely convinced there is a gun in that pile of accessories

I think the best mod to any AR is a good trigger set. I have Timney's in my 3 rifles. (2-.223/1-.308)

Started with an OR model and the first thing done was installing a Yankee Hill Machine free floating for-end which also involved changing out the OEM gas block. So far this combination has been my best mod.

Unless I'm heading off to some war (not likely as I'm pretty close to 60 now), it's not very likely I'll ever find myself in a situation where me, my M&P15, and it's ACOG will give much of "who cares" should it break. (not likely it will) It's too big to pocket carry so I can't use it for that.
When I go to the range, it's always with several firearms....so if one should "break", I put it in the case and pick up another one and finish out the rest of my enjoyable day. I appreciate my scope because it allows me to see much better than I can when using iron sights. I don't wear my bifocals at the range so I consider my cheating a bit with my "fancy scope" to be fair. I hope your eyesight remains perfect for as long as you live....not having it certainly has it's drawbacks.

Sling is the first thing. Second is plenty of magazines. If it has a section of Picatinny Rail, then a light. Next would be an optic such as the Aimpoint. Then cases of ammo. Oh, did I mention plenty of magazines? That is all you need. Really, the optic is unnecessary for my purposes, but it is on the list "just because."

You consider an optic unnecessary but a light necessary? That seems weird to me, but it shows how different we all are! I consider flashlights on rifles silly, but optics important.

For helping me to shoot quickly and accurately, the Eotech EXPS2 was a big improvement to my S&W M&P 15 MOE. For shooting comfort and for just plain looking cool, the Magpul ACS stock really fits the bill.

Still contemplating which one is better, but a Leupold mark AR mod 1 1.5-4x20 with illumination or a Wilson combat single stage match trigger.

Have that scope and love it. I really like that green dot. Circle in the reticle is easy to pick up even without the green dot turned on. Trigger is next and then free float.

Out of the upgrades I've done on my sport, my favorite would have to be my
Timney 3.5 lbps break trigger.

In the 3 months ive had myb15T, ive added the folowing:
Aimpoint 3X multiplier on LaRue LT755-30T
Aimpoint PRO on Larue LT129
PWS SSC556 comp
LaRue index clumps.
Love eberything up put on sobfar, but those index clips are the cat's meow. Next add on will be a trigger. Need to do some research first, but I've never gone wrong with a Timney.
