Important ? before I order my scope
I want to order a Nikon 3 x 32mm scope for my "sport" but before i do I really need to know if I'm going to get a lot of interference from the front sight. I plan on using the P-223 mounts.

You won't even notice it. The scope will perform as if it isn't even there.

At 3x, you will probably see the front sight. It will be blurred, and the mount should make it where it only appears in the lower portion of the scope, so it should not affect your shooting. Bump up the magnification to 4x or higher, and the front sight disappears.

So, since I'm looking at something with only 3 power would I be better off with something of higher magnification or should it be a non issue.

Unfortunately, you are the only one that can answer that. For me, it would be a non-issue as the mounts will put the scope high enough that the front sight is only in the lower portion of the field of view, and it will be blurred, or ghost like in appearance. I can shoot like that and it doesn't bother me, but some folks can't stand it.

I have the Nikon 3-9x and didn't see the front sight on any magnification setting.
