Okay, it's not an S&W, but I was playing on the web today and came across this carbine kit:

Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply INC

Anyone know anything about this kit or the brand? The cost looks almost too good to be true - what's the catch? Or is there a catch?

Edit: did some more snooping and it looks like this is all imported stuff. Not sure if that means it is bad per se, but I prefer USA made for: firearms and hand tools!

No lower receiver, that will knock the price up a $100 or so. No sights, up another $75 to $200.

A shooter is closer to $600+/-. More likely + than -.

Midway has a Del-Ton kit for about 450. It is midlength heavy barrel. I have two Del-Ton's and they are well made and accurate. Mid length is the way to go.
