PA Microdot and Iron sights?
I just bought a M&P15 Sport and am thinking of installing a PA Microdot on it. If I use a riser that allows an absolute co-witness, will I be able to use the iron sights without removing the Microdot? I'm asking because if the red dot were to fail, I'd rather not be without sights.
Thanks,
Kim

Yes. If the optic lens isn't damaged to the point it obscures the sight picture , You'll be able to look through the optic and see your iron sights.

Either absolute co-witness or go 1/3. I have a TRS25 (much like the PA microdot) and I love it.

I would recommend a lower 1/3 co-witness with the micro dots. If you do an absolute co-witness i find the front sight base to be in the way and annoying.
I greatly prefer a fixed rear back up sight, but with the micro I find that annoys me as well. So I installed a KAC flip down on mine.

This. If you get the Primary Arms riser for the Micro Dot, it gives you a perfect lower 1/3 co-witness. Very easy. That's what I have on my Sport.

I got the ADM mount for mine. Just in case it does quit working I can quickly and easily remove it. So far the little PA micro has exceeded my expectations. Literally the only complaint I have is the bluish tint the lenses have. Which I probably wouldn't notice if I wasn't used to a real aimpoint.

I currently have my microdot set up as an absolute co-witness. I think I'll try the PA riser and check out a 1/3 co-witness. If I like it I'll get the ADM quick detach riser. So many ways to spend money on this rifle.
