Hey guys(and gals), I was just browsing gun pictures and came across an M&P, but it has a part I've never seen before. Can someone tell me what the part is right above the trigger in this picture? Right below the M&P-15 label. Thanks in advance.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I believe that is an anti-walk pin, put in place to ensure the fire control group pins don't work themselves out during the weapon's lifetime of use.
It does keep the pins from walking out as texas kid had mentioned, but also keeps them from rotating to the point it wears out the holes in the the lower receiver that the pins sit in.
Ok so they're the anti-rotation pins than. Ya I've never actually seen them. I have the JP Anti-walks and they're just tiny allen or Torx, I can't recall off the top of my head. Thanks guys.
