I have a fixed front sight on my M&P Sport. I want a QD mount for the front. I don't like the ones that go in the large triangle above the current sling loop but one that would clamp on the barrel in front of the sight with the mounting stud sticking out to the side so I could carry the AR on my back with the clip sticking out to the side, not in my back. Does anyone know of a QD that would mount on the barrel?


On second thought, I have a small protrusion in front of the front sight on the bottom of the barrel...not sure what it is for...it is not a pictinny rail and is ???? for an attachment of some kind? Maybe someone knows of a QD type attachment for a sling that would mount there???

I don't know of any QD that will clamp on your barrel. The 'protrusion' you ask about is a bayonet mount.
