I got my Eotech EXPS 2-0 from Dvor (offshoot of Optics Planet) today. I really like it a lot however there's one issue I'm not sure is an issue or not. It appears to be a brand new item and not a refurb or return based on the packaging and included materials. Here are some pics of it (minus the issue).



And here's the issue. If you look closely you'll see what in the picture appears to be a small scratch in the coating on the muzzle side of the glass (upper left in the pic - but technically the lower right if you were looking straight on at it). I've looked closely and can't tell if the flaw is on the inside or outside (coated) part of the glass. You cannot see it at all when looking through the optic. Does anyone else have anything similar on their Eotech? I got it for $455 from Dvor which I consider to be a good deal - and I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of returning it if this is just a minor cosmetic flaw that won't affect the useability of the sight. Thoughts?

Edit: I called Dvor and they offered an RMA however since it was on sale they no longer have them so I'd just get credit back on my card and not a replacement. Decisions decisions...

If you like the EOTech, keep it and enjoy it. I don't see it being an issue. I put an XPS2 on my shotgun when they first came out and have used the heck out of it. Awesome sight!

For the life of me, I can't see what you're talking about. I mean no disrespect. What is wrong?

Maybe I'm too picky. In the bottom pic there's a small line in the bottom corner of the glass. Almost like a tiny scratch in the anti reflective purple coating.

If it doesnt affect your ability to see the reticle I wouldn't worry about it. Mine gets smudges, fingerprints, just plain cruddy and it works perfectly.
